Far North Queensland

Highly prospective ground has been targeted by ActivEX in the north Queensland region where large intrusive related gold deposits such as Charters Towers (7 million ounces), Mt Leyshon, Kidston, and Ravenswood (each +3 million ounces) and high grade epithermal gold deposits such as Vera Nancy (2.8 million ounces) and Mt Carlton (+1 million ounces) are well known.

ActivEX continues its philosophy of building a portfolio of high quality ground in very prospective areas such as Far North Queensland, principally seeking deposit styles with significant tonnage potential and hence longevity.

The Company has been active in this area since inception through the Pentland Project and during the 2010 year has applied for highly prospective ground in the Gilberton and Ravenswood areas. Mt Leyshon was granted in May 2012, King Soloman is an EPM Proposal and Disraeli is a competitive application. Percey River in the Gilberton area is an EPM Proposal and Mt Hogan and Gilbeeton are competitive applications. Competitive applications may or may not be granted to ActivEX.

At Pentland, the Company is in joint venture with China Yunnan Copper Australia Limited and is targeting porphyry or intrusive related copper-gold-molybdenum style mineralisation. A deep drilling program was completed in 2010.

The Ravenswood and Gilberton Projects are in gestational stage with EPMs only recently granted. Compilation work and intial targeting is in progress. Further details of these areas will be released in due course.
