Blairmore Project
Summary
Porphyry systems often occur in clusters of deposits and ActivEX believes it holds key tenements with a cluster of porphyry style deposits in an area where the Esk Trough is intersected by a major transfer structure termed the Booubyjan Transfer, interpreted to represent shallow sub-ducting crust with extensional back-arc volcanics developed. Several alteration "pipes" have been mapped in the area and these have been recognised as representing lihtocaps of buried porphyry inrtusives. These lithocaps have been sampled and their clay mineralogy has been assessed using PIMA spectroscopy which has identified the Blairmore and Demonbanga alteration pipes as being most prospective. A ground magnetic survey (below) has shown the area to be underlain by a large intrusive with contact effects which may represent magnetite alteration and porphyry development..
Blairmore and Demonbanga prospects showing interpreted intrusive These contact zones will be subject of IP surveys in the coming field program.
